Program Overview

The DeVos Sport Business Management Program will give you critical sport business management knowledge, skills and leadership abilities in an environment of uncompromising ethical values that emphasizes both the standards of doing good business and the desire to make community service and philanthropy cornerstones in your organization. The program’s vision came from Orlando Magic owners Rich and Helen DeVos, who have been dedicated to making a difference in people’s lives and to helping people help themselves. In addition, the partnership with the Orlando Magic gives students the opportunity to learn and develop professional skills on the job.

As a student, you are given interactive projects from concept through implementation that allows you to work along-side world-class sport business leaders, while building a network of contacts that help create rewarding post-graduation opportunities. You will understand and embrace the strengths and complexities of a diverse workforce as an actual component of overall business strategy. You will investigate the relationship between sport and social issues and learn how to use the power of sport to create a positive change in our society. If you seek a challenge in the exciting world of sport business, the DeVos Program will prepare you to Think Beyond the Competition.

Upon completion of the DeVos Program, students earn both an MS in Sport Business Management and MBA. The 22-month program consists of 54 credit hours over one and a half years concluding with an internship at a nationally recognized sports organization.
